With a number of things coming up that may require commission crafting, now's a good time for a reminder on how this works!
In short, the commission crafting system allows a crafter to make an item for a customer without ever needing to open a trade window. The crafting process can use components being held by the customer, and drops the finished item directly into the customer's inventory. This allows crafters to make no trade items for customers; it is also a way to get rare items safely crafted without needing the mail or trade the rares away to a stranger.
The customer needs to be in possession of the primary component for the item. Either the customer or the crafter may supply the rest.
To start the commission crafting process, the customer and crafter should meet near a crafting station of the appropriate type. The crafter opens his or her recipe book and selects the recipe to be created. The crafter then targets
the customer, not the crafting station, and clicks "create". This will open the commission crafting window. At this point the customer will need to place the primary component for the recipe into the first slot shown. (Note that this should be a single item, not a stack of items.) Payment for the crafter's time can also be added here, as well as any other components the customer wishes to supply. When both parties agree, both click to accept, and the crafting process begins.
Crafting then occurs as normal. When the item is completed, it drops directly into the customer's inventory. Any payment that the customer had added to the commission window drops into the crafter's inventory. And that's all there is to it!
