I used to guide on Najena and other servers, so I know they do exist elsewhere, and since leaving the program I've come across at least one guide event on a play character (on a non-RP server). They tend to say hello in the newbie channels these days; anyway I'm sure guide-spotters can get a good communications network going via the chat channels if folks really want!
As Rijacki said though there's plenty of new toys with or without the little extra guide gifts, so everyone should have a merry Frostfell.
