More examples of screwed up itemization in RoK for Brawlers. The fact that there is no brawler weapon for Anaphylaxis. It wouldn't have been so bad except for the fact a day or two in there was a huge rush "fix" the fact that there was no scout item in. It was addressed immediately and a dev was even posting on the fact that they recognized this and that they were working on it. In the meantime it was brought up that there was no brawler weapon...oh wait unless you count the 2h staff which is built for a caster lmfao. And to my knowledge not a single dev has posted on this broken issue, that is just lame. The reet item from the collection is the same way. Hey SOE since you are screwing over the brawler class by making a leather item that is for healers, and screwing over the healer classes that are not leather wearers by making no plate/chain items for you maybe you could do the same thing to scouts. I know instead of making the chain items like that, maybe you should make them leather. After all they can WEAR leather, and it is only a small mitigation loss, hell like healers aren't they supposed to avoid being hit. Thats it, make all scout armor itemization in leather, that way you can make the same amount of items and the brawlers could use it still. BRILLIANT!!!
The damage variance on that item looks pretty high to me. Is there a reason it wouldn't be used for the damage alone? If there are better weapons that are easier to acquire, I can certainly look into this.
The Anaphylaxis issue has been addressed, multiple times, in multiple threads, on multiple sites. The reason the scout reward was added almost immediately is because I had already created the reward for it, but through a small error, it had not been attached. Roughly a week later, the lack of a Brawler weapon was brought to my attention, but by that point so many people had completed the quest (and I'd already had to ask a quest designer to fix it once) that it was too problematic to add any further rewards. This isn't as simple as me merely creating a new weapon. It requires a new quest to be created, some system for swapping out the old rewards, and typically hammers the CS department with requests from players confused by the new reward. I can easily add new equipment to new quests (which I've done), as drops (which I've also done), or to faction merchants (again, done), but adding new rewards to current quests is problematic, and is only done when it is caught quickly and has an easy fix. I've already added a brawler weapon to a new quest in GU41, and a number of them are available as drops in dungeons or off overland nameds.
Not every class and playstyle is going to receive a reward useful to them from every questline. I will, however, try to ensure that useful gear is available to you somewhere, no matter what you play. I've been following the feedback in these forums quite closely and getting a good feel for the types of gear other players feel is lacking. You may have noticed from patch notes and other threads, that I've been attempting to address those issues already. It takes time, but I hope I can level things out to a point where the majority are happy with the loot options available to them =)
