In my usual manner, I would whip through the text and only review what was in the quest journal. Well, when I saw the Karana's alter highlight, I thought "Great, a deity quest". So I flew through that and at the last second relized too late I had renounced Karana. Sad part about it is that when you query Askr again, unlike other deity prophets, this one will not let you re-worship Karana again. All I get is the message "I am still preparing, and you should prepare your skills for what is to come."
So just as a heads up, if you ever want to come back under the umbrella of Karana, you won't be able to.
There will be a fix coming in for this in the next update. If you renounce mid-quest, you will have to begin the quest again; however, there will be an option to return to the embrace of Karana available between each quest and at the end of the series.
Also, to reconfirm, Karana is effectively neutral in terms of who can worship him.
