Icon3 (DominoDev) Re:A question about Harvested Rares

According to Domino earlier this year when they "fixed" rare drops, nodes with 2 rare types possible will drop at a rate higher than the nodes with a single rare type. IE roots should not drop as often as say gemstones. The nodes with 2 types of rares get hit by the RNG obviously, twice - once to determine IF you get a rare and again to determine WHAT rare you get. It seems the second RNG can be manipulated as easliy as the first so there may not be and does not appear to be an even chance of getting 1 or the other. Look at the Incardine Cluster vs Silicate Loam, one is 20g, the other is 3.5p. I have yet to harvest a silicate loam in rok, glad I dont personally need them for my upgrades.
That is correct. There should be an equal chance of getting any rare now, regardless of whether it comes from a one-harvest or two-harvest type node. Of course, it would take thousands and thousands of harvests to actually build up enough data to compensate for the randomness of the RNG. I swear it does know what you need and hides those. My carpenter got three silicate loams while levelling to 80 and not a single mahogany. My jeweler, who is now working her way up too, has had 4 mahoganies already and not a single loam. So ... someone is laughing somewhere. But the actual numbers on the back end say it should be an equal drop rate for all.
