Under Did You Know on the launcher, they're quick enough to tell us about some new card in LoN, which hardly anyone plays, or suggest we try the Pirates game, the download/patch for which doesn't work, but surely something like this is more important?
Subscribing to a game is more than paying an amount of money for the right to participate in some entertainment. There's an investment of time in creating and developing characters and all that relates to them, based on trust in a form of relationship which develops between the player and game provider. Between my guildies and friends who play EQ2 and other Sony games, we have spent and are planning to spend thousands on hardware which is not needed for any other purpose or application. This expenditure is made on the basis of our trust in Sony.
This type of news, whether to be confirmed or denied, therefore warrants a proper and official response in a prominent place.
Hello... SATURDAY, during the holiday break... Nobody's in the office and so those of us not travelling or sleeping off the expansion for the holiday just did what we could from home to provide clarity. I for one put down my Xbox controller and paused my game of Catan when the text message came in to find out about this.
IE: I know it will seem odd, but we get holidays and weekends off, and accrue vacation days as well... so we sorta weren't in the office yesterday.
