The 6 counters seem pretty much useless.......
I hit durability when there is no problem to be countered and counter when there is one, but durability continues to go down anyhow. Why is it random what happens?
What's the deal?
Hi there, and welcome to the tradeskill forum (I assume this post was moved here by one of the moderators).
You'll find the handy FAQ guides mentioned above
right here. The first few in the section "How To Guides" are specifically about your question. Tradeskilling can be a bit of a challenge at lower levels, while you're still learning your craft. You don't know all the best techniques yet and your skills may not yet be maxed, which can result in a higher chance of failure. As you gain in tradeskill levels, your durability and progress arts will automatically improve and you'll find you have much more ability to control the outcome more easily. The first upgrades will happen at level 20, then 40, 60, and 80.
For now, have a read over the guides in the link above, and/or ask your friendly local crafting chat channel for tips. If maintaining durability is your main issue, try using all 3 +durability arts as often as you can, regardless of whether or not you have an event to counter. The +progress arts can be used to speed things up when your durability is safely at the maximum. Of course, there's still an element of randomness that can result in a sudden failure (or even several in a row) if you're not lucky, but keeping your durability high should give you a safety margin in case this happens. Happy crafting!
