A few things to remember in the chaos here folks:
- The "French Rep" did post bad information about the 29th which I did refute.
- The "French Rep" also posted about the 5th in an attempt to correct the information about the 29th. This was incorrect, and that is why it's no longer something you can link to.
- Those dates were bad information. Yes, they were handled by a red name, and in the best of intent, but that is why I corrected on the 29th notice, and also why the notice about the 5th is gone. When you can't link to it, you should assume you can no longer trust it. [And stop being mean to my "French Rep" !!]
- Multiple teams have been working on many of the things slated for GU42 for quite some time. That means there are multiple opportunities for a nasty bug to sneak through, or a graphical effect to not hook up properly, or for a quest NPC to fail to give out the proper quest, or for a mannequin to carry the wrong name/label, or (insert your own patch day nightmare here). We are quite fond of not having things like that happen, and that means that the teams are taking all the time they need to ensure that they don't have issues on any level.
- Count on an issue or two anyway. Murphy's Law will always win.
- You are still expected to maintain proper decorum in the forums. A few people are using naughty words and making attacks on others who don't think like they do. I understand that we are all excited about some of the seriously cool content headed toward EQII; but we cannot abandon civility in these forums in favor of that excitement.
- In plain English, #6 means "Play nice or you will have extra time to quest for your epics.. cause you will be on vacation from the forums."
Hold steady, take a deep breath, and trust that Gnobrin is very accessible to the teams working on this update, and when they give him the thumbs up, he's going to share the good news with all of us. I can't wait either!
