As I understand it, all housing items which are currently LORE will have the LORE tag removed and the devs are fairly certain they have caught them all.
Question: what is going to happen to any that may be overlooked? Are they simply going to disappear when this change goes live? If so, what will the correction protocol be to get those items retrieved and placed back in the house?
Anything overlooked will follow the rules I posted in my first post -- i.e., nothing at all will happen to it unless you happen to pick one up, in which case you won't be able to put it down again; or if you move house, in which case it will still go in your moving crate but you won't be able to take any duplicates out of the crate until the lore flag gets fixed. So, it shouldn't be a big deal or mess with anybody's decorations. I can't think of any way that any items would go missing, but if they did, then a /petition is always the correct escalation of a missing item of any type.
Collection rewards = quest items so should be covered. Live event rewards like Brew Day stuff, music boxes, and snow globes = quest items so should be covered. A chessboard is either the Qeynos Guard faction reward (covered) or the EoF blue collection quest reward (also covered) so should be good. I believe the claimed veteran rewards were also included. And, there isn't anything specifically being planned for the future that I'm aware of that does need to be Lore, but who knows, it's always nice to have options.

Edit to add: There are NO plans to add halflings-on-a-stick house items

However, there IS a quest that the Guide program may occasionally be found giving out in Antonica which does allow you to obtain a dead halfling skeleton for your home, if you are lucky enough to encounter them ...
