I wanted to thank everyone for posting their ideas and opinions in this thread.
There still seem to be a lot of mixed opinions as far as whether Test works well as a community or whether it should be a sandbox to copy live characters and be wiped at anytime.
While I can't make any guarantees about what can and can't be changed, I'll bring a summary of these ideas to our producers and see what they think about them.
As you may have already seen, Kirstie is going to rename the PvP Test server and has mentioned that it will no longer be permanently PvP. This server will allow you to /testcopy your live character to it so you can check out new features.
So for the time being we will have both types of test environments, a permanent community, and a server that allows you to copy from live. One of the biggest requests seems to be more interaction with the dev team on the test server. We've already started creating characters on Test and you should see us around in the evenings. Feel free to say hi anytime and open a conversation about whatever might be bothering you.
