LiveGamer launches on
Monday, March 31, 2008. Here is a list of features that will be available through LiveGamer:
Login - Users must login with their Live Gamer account.
Register - User must create a new LG account as well as log into their Station account to link the accounts together.
Forgot username or password - Only a forgotten password can be obtained through the system. To retrieve a lost username, the User must call customer service.
Transaction History - Transaction History will only provide selling and bidding data. Auction history will not be viewable at the start of service.
Instant Purchase - Auction creation requires that the seller enter an instant purchase price. The buy now price is always visible and will not disappear after bidding begins.
Listing Fees - Only Transaction Fees
Auction Strike System - No Strike system will be used. Auction considered completed or incomplete
Bid Confirmation - Bid amount will be confirmed by user before making it final via a second page showing bid and payment details.
Auction Extensions - A bid placed within the last hour of an auction will extend the auction an hour and will continue indefinitely. Both auction systems will continue indefinite extension of auction time given bid activity.
RSS Feed - There is no RSS feed available.
Payment Options - Amex is not supported. User can only have one credit card stored.
Paypal - Only collects Paypal email address.
SMS message capability - SMS messaging used for temporary password delivery.
