You Have No (Virtual) Rights

Whenever I read someone railing about their ‘virtual rights’ I have to admit that it gives me a little chuckle on the inside. Not in the condescending manner of looking down on someone as a fool, but in the “If you got what you asked for, you’d hate it.” manner.

You have just one virtual right — the right to stop playing whatever game it is that you are playing. That’s it. These games are not nations, they are services. Period. When you step into a virtual world, you do so as a customer; not as a citizen. Hell, even in games like Project Entropia where you can buy things right from the company who makes the world, you don’t really own those things or places, and you have no rights as a ‘citizen’ of the world.

Yer just being entertained, even if you don’t want to agree. Denial does not make fact. Neither does affirmation by me though right?
Something to keep in mind the next time you post any type of criticism. Grimwell is laughing at you.

Everytime "it" posts, I chuckle a little on the inside.
