If there are specific pieces of MC you feel are progression-breaking, I'd be interested to know what they are and to see some comparisons to the Legendary pieces they trump. So far the generalizations in this thread have not given me a clear picture of which items are causing issues. I'm always open to comments and criticisms.
Basicly every legendary item from T1-T6 doesnt come close to MC gear right now. These items are so many and numerous to list.
As of right now there is just no point in upgrading past MC till you get to T7/8. Im not asking for a reduction in MC gear but pretty much all fabled and legendary gear from T1-T6 is in no way worth the effort to aquire compaired to MC right now.
Everyone knows this and is hardly need to be proven or listed.......
Lower levels are another subject completely (the original poster was referring to level 70-80 gear). Mastercrafted was revamped for all tiers using Kunark to set the curve. Legendary gear prior to Kunark has not yet been revisited, and thus its stats will be considerably lower than comparably leveled tradeskill gear. Along this same vein, quest gear and drops from Timorous Deep are often used well into the level 50 range due to their superior Kunark-grade stats.
This is a known issue (and one that has been building since the very first game expansion). It is, however, very time consuming for us to go back and upgrade loot in older zones. That being said, we've discussed the possibility a few times, and may revisit older zones and quests at some point. We want old content to be rewarding, we just have to balance our time doing that with creating new content.

The sad thing is that as much as it is nice to go back and have worthwhile loot, that worthwhile loot will 100% absolutely trivialize the lower level game even more than it already is.

How many roadblocks do you need when racing to end-tier where all the new zones are developed?

So you're saying all zones prior to the end are a waste of time, then why don't we just start at Level 80 with 140 AAs and go from there? Oh, wait, that's because the zones before the end matter just as much as the zones at the end.

Re: (Fyreflyte) Re:Can legendary itemization be looked at?
No they don't, they don't matter worth a shit, instead they create a morass that keeps plenty new players stuck from the early 30's onward. How many times have I heard friends of friends try the game out and then plateau and fizzle out well before T5 because they were tired of sitting LFG and tired of nickel-diming quests and mobs that didn't give shit for xp. The people who are fun to play with are waiting in the higher tiers, WoW seems to understand the importance of shrinking the gap but apparently Lyndro is vocal about learning the hard way.

Then go and play WoW if its so fucking superior.
And one more thing: you got no clue about WoW. There is gigantic difference in equipement (low-lvl to high-lvl and uncommon to epic).
