If you want to comment about a quote, please ensure you link to the whole thing. Since there's nothing here except SOE bashing, this link's locked. If you check the devtracker, there's MANY devs that post to these forums, and far more that read them and choose to stay silent. If you have issue in regards to gameplay, please be sure you voice it in a constructive manner with as much fact and information you can, so the issues can be reiewed. Too, ensure that you use the /feedback option ingame so that the information can go directly to the development staff.

Im sorry .. why was that thread locked?

I thought it to be very respectful in the way that people were voicing their concerns and constructive criticisms.

Granted I dont post too often on threads/forums much and may not be aware of most of the rules of etiquette.

I usually go on the forums to look up some current game info, beit bugs, upcoming events, concerns etc... And most of the good threads are being locked with the generic copy and pasted dev response.

SK's and a few others have been reporting issues and concerns about their class for some time now some probably pre dating KOS. When a petition, feedback, or thread is created on the issue it will be locked because of some knucklehead that cursed or bashed a fellow dev. and all of the other positive info is instantly ignored.

Thought: Tell your RL that you cannot help exploit a contested mob tonight because you have to fix an in game bug that has thousands of paying customers ticked off and on the verge of quitting.

Q: What have you learned about the community aspect - Star Wars: Galaxies, for example, went through a difficult transition period.
John Smedley: The lessons we've learned from our community have just been extraordinary. For years now we've been running something called the Influencer Summit, where we pull 100 people, and 50 of those people will be our worst critics.
So one of the things we're trying to do is listen better as a company, and over the past few years I think we've done that - I'm really proud of the strides we've taken in that direction. Listening is a very important skill.
Q: Why do you think there was that response?
John Smedley: Because we didn't listen. I think we were a little too arrogant as a company. We thought we knew what was best as a company, and we should have listened more. That's really the biggest lesson we've learned as a company in the last eight years. Listening to our customers is everything.
