So apparently the Smart Loot does actually look at scribed spells. I honestly did not know that, as the code is rather new and it worked differently then I had intended it.
So I am turning the smart loot down to 30% which means when a master drops, you have a 30% chance that it will be one that someone in the group needs for sure.
The drop rates are remaining the same.

So if masters are a 5% chance to drop, and you have 6 people in your group, and there is a 30% chance for it to be master you need, you are pretty fucked.

Heh.

If it was down to me, master drop rates would be removed from solo content, severely reduced on heroic content, and this smart loot system on masters would be thrown out with the trash. Worst idea ever.

As it is, just one step closer to /claiming all the best stuff. Grats the instant gratification crowd!

30% should suffice.

2/3 of the time you have a master drop (hoping once per run due to the size of the dungeon) you don't get something your immediate group needs. But the other 1/3 of the time you get something sweet.

I believe this is awesome and still gives people who are mastered out a chance to sell masters and others a chance to get what they truly need.

Good time to buy up all of the masters you don't care about from the broker while their cheap. Otherwise you'll be pissed when the program upgrades the stupid masters over something you truly want.

The question I have is whether smart loot takes into effect Master 2s as Masters. Like say you chose a M2 ability because you have the other choices at M1, though if you had the M1 of your M2 choice you'd respec it.

Yeah, I would take Impede master 1 and then change my Master II choice to HP.

If you want to quibble over M1 and M2 choices, so be it. But to be honest smart loot at 30% is a hella a lot better than the crap we are dealling with now.
