With GU46, the tribal spear will be consistent with the old appearance it had. However, the short spear is changing to the asagai appearance that the tribal spear temporarily borrowed, so that should be a good option for those who preferred that look. Of course, Norrathian history is quite different from our own, so what any spear "should" look like is probably a matter for erudite historians to debate, but hopefully this gives choices for everyone according to their preferences.
