Update:
When I start making wholesale changes to the forums, the caches for the different session servers start to get really confused. Nothing gets 'broken' but it sure feels broken from the user experience end. There are two short term solutions for this, and one really good long term solution.
The long term solution is to update things so that the caches don't get in screwy states over basic administrative changes. The good news is that this has been resolved and tested on the code side! So when the next forums build comes in... the fix will be there. I don't have a specific ETA on that, but it's good to know.
The short term solutions are time and maintenance. Time because it fixes itself after a few hours. Maintenance because I can pick up the phone and have someone flush the caches and force them current.
Sooner is always better than later, so what I am going to do is save the rest of the change work for a little later in the day today, and then go through and knock it out in as short of time as possible with some focused work. Then I can call and have the caches flushed, and be done with it for good. Less headaches for you, and completed task for us all.
It just requires a little patience while things are wonky. I'll do my best to be quick when I get to it!
