The ones you see doing t1 dps have amazing gear which allows 1/4 of their dps to come from procs, take away those procs and they are where they should be tbh. Basing a nerf off of saying omg illusionists can do 15k dps is fucking retarded, there are also inquisitors that do 10k dps, but those are the minority.

Fixing the bug that allows base spell damage to increase procs will fix alot of imbalance in this game. If anything a controlled amount of proc damage increasers should be given as a buff to summoners in thier utilty revamp. But not in the complete out of control imbalance that currently exists. Furthermore forcing melee to currently hunt for +base spell damage to increase melee base procs is also absurd.

yea, except base spell dmg also helps scout poison dmg and there is nothing wrong with that.

the only broken proc is GvB right now.. that needs to be nerfed not all procs.

There are already item effects specifically designed in game to increase poison procs. Furthermore base spell damage increases ALL procs not just poison. There is an issue where I as a bruiser have to choose gear with base spell damage in order to maximise dps. This system is broken and it has been for some time. It is a bug and heck most of the developers don't even realize base spell damage is increasing proc damage.

If they removed base spell damage from effecting procs they wouldnt have felt the need to reduce base damage in the first place. The problem is this bug effects melee as well. When the developers felt base damage was to powerful they not only reduced base spell they reduced base Combat art damage, which is substantially less powerful then its counterpart. This ability needs to get fixed. It would also fix the issue with enchanters being so overpowered at the high end, likely eliminating the need to revamp the class. The idea of increasing the effectiveness of procs is sound, but in a much more equal and controlled fashion such as through summoner utility.

The trickle down effect of this one broken ability does cause major imbalance in the game.

or they could fix GvB to work as it should and only proc off one item instead of all of them. it's retarded that instance proc gear is parsing 10% + for people.. and the problem isin't base dmg modifiers the problem is THAT proc.

I like that idea. A raid wide buff to increase proc damage would sure as shit increase summoner desirability.
