Research assistants are blatant catering to the casual player base. Why not create a Raid Gear Assistant? I wouldn't mind paying 30pp and waiting a month for the most rare drops off the avatars. Guaranteed.

The logic behind Research Assistants is baffling. In fact, I'm going to run something by you. What is the difference between a Research Assistant and a government bailout?

Raid zones, raid mobs and fabled items are blatant catering to raiders... It's an awful lot of dev time for a relatively small portion of the community.

And talking about easymode... Raid gear makes heroic content into easymode for raiders....

And you're not the only one saying jump... and it's not a matter of "how high?", it's "jump where?"
Who do you think is the loudest? Even if the raiding playerbase is 25% (nowhere NEAR that high) you're still being drowned out by the other 75%...

Fucking metric system, people used to laugh at me in College because I had no fucking clue how to do conversions in your imperial system without a cheat sheet, I still can't to this day. It made me feel better though when they couldn't grasp the by 10's component of the metric system.

As for raids catering to raiders, yes. Masters were not designed as a catered system however. Now they are. The concept of accomplishment has vanished in regard to masters, unless of course having a month of patience is worthy enough as an accomplishment (and it isn't).

Mainly my argument isn't against researching masters per se. It's certain masters that are ultra rare (which went to players that utilized them to their maximum, raiders) which are now a mainstay. A raid defiler would have paid hundreds of platinum for Umbral Trap prior to RAs, because it was ultra rare. Now every defiler that exists will have it mastered. This helps the raid defilers, yes. I still hate being given what I would prefer to earn. I suppose most people prefer to be given everything without doing anything to deserve it.
