Shards of Destiny is a separate thing and won't be affected by the postponement of the merge.
We just planned them on the same day, because it would reduce the downtime for you guys.
We feel that the hardware upgrade is important... so you guys can actually PLAY when we get you merged, rather than scooch along like inch worms
