It was interesting to me to come across this post today. We've been wanting to move towards a multiple-quest tracking system for a couple of years and finally decided to start working on it recently. This should be done in time for the expansion and GU55 content.

Some of the other things you mentioned are also on our "to-do" list but not as high priority as some of the other things we're currently working on. I always love making UI improvements and recognize we can do a lot more in that area, so I'm looking forward to more changes like these in the future.

A distance-to-target indicator is needed for all the contorted mob AE's that say you have to be between X and Y distance not to get face fucked.

Displaying a vertical list of quests on the main HUD just illustrates how much of a FedEx hellhole that developers have allowed this genre to become. If you need a mob for a quest, mark the mob similar to the white AA star. And stop making us pick shit up off the ground all the damn fucking time.

Some players might bot against encounters but it seems like he bots the encounter design!

I can tell some flame posters to shut up but it has about the same result as what your suggesting.
