I don't know what Beghn had in mind way back whenever, but I think it's far too late to try and limit strong boxes to banks only; and it also doesn't seem realistic to reduce the amount of bag space that everyone's got used to carrying around. It would seem a more fair and equitable solution to have backpacks and strong boxes of the same level and quality be the same size, as Donilla (and others) have commented.

You can expect to see some changes very soon .

The alternative is to have a freeform container capped by weight, something like what a lot of Square RPG's had, with the ability to sort.

"ability to sort" is such a vague term... you could sort items in UO bags as well if you wanted, by piling them up in groups :D

I wish there was a way to transform the bag windows into lists like the vendors and broker.

that would be nice. I would like to have both options instead of this just replacing the current solution. Maybe B brings up the current bag UI and CTRL+B brings up a list window.

Even just being able to sort bags so that all of the open slots are in the last bag or something. I hate when I'm out soloing and my bags get full, then I go sell all my crap loot, and I have all these holes in my bags where stuff can go. Without dragging items one by one, the next quest item I get goes to some random spot in my bag.

It would also be nice to be able to move all of the contents of one bag to another. Say I have one bag in the bank that I want to replace with a bigger strongbox - I hate having to go through one by one and move junk.

And I second the idea of being able to search your bags, bank, and shared bank for items using a similar interface to the broker window.

I like how she said she doesnt know what he was thinking way back when....Maybe if she was around "way back whenever" she would know that the reason boxes had more slots is b/c they weigh themselves 100....

Way back whenever, your str was kinda limited depending on your class and in effect, limiting the amount of weight you could carry. When something weighs 100, and you only have a space for 200 back then, it was an easy choice to have more of the lower weight bags with less slots for a more of an overall gain of slots as compared to a single box of heavy weight with less overall slots....

Yay for choice and consequences of those choices....

There haven't been consequences to choices in this game in a long time. Don't like your tradeskill class? Respec. Don't like your gender? Respec. Race, name, etc etc. What about faction? You take two factions at war with each other and you can max out your faction for both of them? How much sense does that make?
