PS: I know a new flora system is being considered(?), please remember to include shadow support on the flora. Currently it looks better without flora since GPU shadows doesn't affect. (flora inside a shadow have the same lightness as without)
The flickering may be a "normals" issue (artist related). I try to notify the artists of where this anomaly occurs so they know to fix it.
- normals are the direction each facet of an object is facing. Artists have tools that help them "paint" these values into pictures and object data that are supplied to the graphics engine. These values are used to compute dynamic lighting information for an object.
Definitely would like to include shadows with flora when we get there.
By the way, if you have a /loc for where you're seeing the flickering I could more easily go take a look.
