Don't know if this is normal but in Darklight woods (DLW), at night the shadows are moving at a pretty fast rate.. When looking at a rock I can see the shadow from a nearby tree moving rapidly across the rock. I witnessed this is many locations in DLW.
During the day the shadows stay still.
I have GPU shadows on.
Hmm, weird. Maybe the nighttime cycle is faster there. I'll see what I can find out.
Talked to our Art Directory and the night cycle is not faster, neither is the moon path, but I did look at the zone and checked the speed of the shadows during different hours of the day and night. Dusk and dawn "can" look faster depending on where the object is that is casting a shadow. If the object is near the horizon up on a hill its shadow will move across the terrain a lot faster than the shadows from nearby objects. It's an angle effect, perfectly natural.
I am pretty sure the tree that was displaying its shadow on the rock was pretty close to the rock.. almost next to it..
Hmm, don't know then.I don't see the speed of nearby object shadows going faster at any time.
