One work around for now is this:
1) save your layout
2) open the layout file with notepad. Then remove all the lines with teleporter pads and player books. You can just delete them. Or any other items you are having problems with.
3) Then you can later use load_layout on that file and it will leave those items alone.
Sorry that this didn't get fixed in time for this last update. The fix is still in the works but not going to be easy.
This is better than nothing and greatly appreciated!!!!
I know you will get it fixed eventually, but having it to play with again is going to be really fun even with a few quirks.
