The enhancements mentioned a while back are possible enhancements for the next year or so (likely 1 or 2 of them will be chosen). They won't be started until I get Shader 3 ready for Live, the remaining GPU Shadow bugs addressed, and our tools updated for the new Shader 3.0 effects our artists are dying to make for new areas, objects, accessories, and armor.

I'll try and get some newer screenshots, especially for mages\brawlers. And yes, I do like the shiny armor.

Could you send me the exact names of one or 2 armor sets you'd like to see for mages and brawlers?

Those shots make it seem like its hardly a difference graphics wise.

EQ2 textures are low-resolution. Unless something's been changed since the last dev post I read about the matter, the max resolution for textures in EQ2 is 512x512 pixels. There's only so much detail you can fit into a canvas that small. The new shaders look great IMO but new shaders only go so far. Better textures are needed, badly.

Unless the database upgrades and planned engine optimization hit some type of huge success i doubt the textures will improve anytime soon.
