As many have noted while it was available, the free character transfer system will still ask for a credit card number -- even though it does not need one. For some, the lack of a credit card or desire to input their cards number has caused them to avoid the transfer even though they would like to.
We have good news for those folks. You do not have to enter a valid credit card number for the transfer to process! So, when the free transfers are resumed, feel free to enter faulty data such as '1111 1111 1111 1111' into the CC fields. Your transfer will still happen as the credit card is not being authenticated.
For those of you who have already completed a transfer and used your valid card information, have no fear. Your card information was not authenticated, and you will not be charged for the free character transfer.
