That's pretty much what I was thinking, though you would still have to enter the house to collect your items, which is no different than how it is now.
In fact, I just checked in the change for this.; So, sometime soon on Test it will work like this:
- Items that were placed by others will move along with the rest of your items and end up in your moving crate.
- You won't be able to pick up items placed by others, but you'll be able to move them around your house.
- The person who placed the item will get a mail notification that you moved and the location of your new house.
No longer will we be mailing house items to players during moves and all the problems that entails.
