Now for David/Smoke Jumper.lol. I hit the "Like" button. Nice subliminals and crossed out text.
So while at FF I got a feel for what the dev's thought of David, and it was positive! (psst. PM me if you want to know whosteals your lunch.) And trust me EQ has had a rough history with Producers, From Scott Hartsman, to that one dude..., to Alan Crosby, to David. (If you wan't a full project history of what "was planned" wait for the book.)
So we come to the current Producer and well, Hes cool. His background started in PVP (woot) and lead to produce many of games. But why is a producer called in? To make money! How does he make money? Fire people! Make a great product! Thus he has to do his best to make EQ2 a great product.
And trust me hes doing a pathetic attempt great job at it. He knows how to plan development. (witch is one of SoE's curses) He took steps by playing each class from 1-90. (/setlevel 90) And now hes going to look at content to add that people have been wanting.
Now personally i'm not saying hes the savior to this game, The game has always had amazing talent but they could never execute it. And since David knows how to bribe sell ideas to corporate, there getting funding and freedom to design some cool stuff.
So just take it easy you all haven't left yet, many say they will and never do. I know I leave but I always come back because EQ has always kept me entertained.
So on that note, fix my class, add in avatars, make the content easier, and fix that one bug since 1920!
Thanks for a fun game.
This does neatly encapsulate what I'm trying to bring to the game, and how I hope to have impact.
