We appreciate the patience and understanding about the need to work out the kinks in the new filter. It's only been a few days, and yes there will be trials and tribulations while it's worked out. Further, there will always be someone willing to spend time to find a work around. Your /report and /petition filing helps a lot here, so please keep it up if something gets to you that is spam, and isn't marked.
Requests for other spam related solutions are being read, but right now the team is working on the current tool we have developed, tweaking it in the live space and shoring it up as we learn more from the actual results. This is not to say that we will never take any other measure against spam - but right now it's best to hone this new filter, instead of dropping it for a new shiny.
