I got the fix put in today so as soon as it makes it through QA you all should see it come down in a hotfix and it will be called out in patch notes.
Also if you have already completed the quest and did not recieve the reward you will be able to go to the armor and weapons upgrade merchant in East Freeport near the Mender/Reforger to pick up the reward.
