Could somebody please explain to me why all the carpenter receipes require so much iron. at least 2 clusters for each receipe.
Even rugs require 2 iron. Do you suppose that Beghn has iron in the rugs in his house.
Carpet tacks?
For a while when I was doing my M.Sc. degree I rented a room in the house of a guy who was probably around his late 20s and very proud of his new house he'd just bought. He'd clearly taken a lot of care furnishing it and decorating it and making it look the way he clearly thought a comfortable home should look - pictures and clocks on the walls, carpets, etc.
On closer examination after I moved in, I discovered that while everything looked nice and neat and homey, it was actually NAILED into place. The carpet was NAILED to the floorboards (it wasn't wall-to-wall, just a square carpet on a wooden floor). The pictures, and clock, were screwed directly into the wall on both sides of the frame. All the little decorative items in the bathroom still had all their price tags on and were clearly unused. It was kind of like living in a movie set -- all looks good from a distance but isn't actually real up close. If "Big Brother" had existed back then, I'd have been seriously worried I was on it.
So yeah ... whenever I put ore into my carpets I always remember that guy and his nailed-to-the-floorboards, gosh-darn-it-this-room-is-going-to-look-cosy-if-I-have-to-nail-everything-in-place carpets and all.
