If using a shield the delay will not be modified for your weapon.

As for your current combination, you will be looking at having a modified delay of 5.33s.

That is an awfully long time without outside haste buffing, making an imbued agility ring a must have item to parse well.

If I were you I would consider looking into, after the LU, getting the SoD Sabre changed to the Gladius. The Gladius will be primary hand only, but its native 3.0s delay will be modified to 4.0s like you are used to now.

As for a secondary hand weapon, you would have to play with what you feel would be best, The Bisected Saber is a good choice if for no other reason than being a slasher and having 2% melee crit chance as an effect. You should also look into acquiring if you haven't already to see what works best for you any of these: Folded Scale Blade, Chel'Draks Shard, Ancient Vorpal Blade, Vilucidae's Sword of Shielding, Shadow Axe, Serrated Sword of Retribution. Most if not all of those will be equippable in the secondary hand(can't log into test to check atm), and their modified delays will be conducive to parsing and in the case of the VSS, a perfect delay match for the SoD Gladius.

The 3 combinations that come to mind if trying to keep matching delays and damage types are: Soulfire Gladius + Edged Pick of Earthly Might or Clearcutter Machete; Axe of Natural Order + Bisected Sabre; Soulfire Sabre + Grinning Dirk of Horror... I don't know how the 5.33 delay will play out it is admitted a long time between swings, but with good proc gear, and depending on your usual group buffs it also seems very appealing as the hits will be massive and will be triggering alot of your effects.

Clearcutter is primary only isn't it?

If not then Gladius/Clearcutter would be ridiculously good.

Yea it is, my bad, I dont have one, but just checked the link on Test and it is. Gladius/Pick of Earthly Might would be the only option for 4sec.

Vilucidae's was either hand and a 3.0s base delay, atleast a week ago it was, so it is a weaker option, but is more accessible.

Have people noticed much difference in thier DPS since the DW changes came in? Personally mine has gone up, but I believe that is due to the fact I have a better selection of weapons to choose from now and not an inherent effect of the new system.

Alot of people were strong advocates of delay being the most important aspect of a weapon, to reach maximum DPS. Give that delays have gone up, have people's DPSs gone up too?

In very quick fights, I am finding my DPS from autoattack is pretty bad with 5.3 delay weapons. As the mobs often die just before my autoattack goes off the last time. If unlucky, I can end up with ~5 wasted seconds of autoattack timer. I am otherwise happy though.

I've moved around guild wise since the change, so groups and raid dps have been a variable that wouldn't be the case in most people's experience. But I find myself parsing higher than before. My IS zw went from around usually being ~900-1.1k to ~1.2 the last time I was in there. Based on the past few zones I've done though I would say I'm averaging ~100 dps increase, maybe 150; again in my case there are other variables that may influence this though.

This is using the same two weapons I was using pre-LU38, Soulfire Sabre + Grinning Dirk of Horror. For people who got to upgrade to Axe of Natural Order + Bisected Sabre, I would imagine the dps increase was a fair bit more.
