Swindlers is a lost cause most of the time due to a hyperactive swash, and the swash with 500+ slashing gets Holy Redoubt due to he has less hp then I do. What I REALLY want is Dagger of Purity, but not going to happen anytime in the near future >_< (dkp issues)
The +skill adornments aren't really worth it. I sit around the same slashing as you do with the Edged Pick and my hit % with that compared to my saber is only about 2% less per zone.

Also, Holy Redoubt on a Swash instead of a Dirge is a waste, even if they have less HP than you. It's probably the 1 buff in the game where it's better on us than rogues.

For trash I usually run Boon/PoS/Toombs/Harl's and Hyrans.

Thaks a lot guys. Just using the twisting of buffs last night I was able to raise zone-wide dps to about 1k from what used to be around 550-650. Any more advice would be most welcomed, however, I have a feeling that I need a better weapon at this point.

Also, do you all move back for an occasional arrow? I know these hit for a LOT of damage and it *seems* that doing this once in a while when CAs or CoB aren't up could help DPS.

Thanks again!

no i dont move out like that... it probably ends up hurting your dps more cause youre missing more swings from youre dw weapons cause they will use the delay from the last bow attack when you go in. so possibly delay 2 or 3 sings from each weapon.

The biggest thing I would worry about with backing out is your bow auto attack missing (Ranged skill generally being much lower than Piercing). My bow often hits for like 5-7k or w/e but if you back out and get a miss thats 9s (less depending on haste) of auto attack missed, which with two 4s weapons is close to 4 dual wield swings (and w/e melee triggers might proc off them). It could be a pretty large loss, and is often minimal gain, especially when you add in the effort of backing out in and back in to begin with.

Don't back out with your bow, lead in with it.

BTW, what do you uber dirges feel about people claiming ZW's for bards of 2 K. I see this more and more, and really have high doubts about it. (even with the proc bug).

I still consider Kalls ZW of EH of 1.4 K as something to strife for, or should I raise my targets?

I posted a 1.75k IS parse in the parse thread that's much more impressive Raiding without lag really is a beautiful thing and really has rejuvenated raiding for me.

Basically, the only way as a Dirge to parse 2k zonewide is if we have a Troub, an Enchanter, and a Sorcerer. If we're missing any of the three, it's probably not going to happen unless you have a crit robe.

Not really sure how much a crit robe would add to a parse. If any Dirges reading this want to chime in or post one of their parses in the parse thread that'd be a cool thing to know.
