Okay, I am a fully mastered, 100 AA Dirge who plays full time in the MT group. I have a Guardian, Defiler, Templar, Warden and either a Swashy or Assassin in the 6th spot. I keep up Hyran's, Percussion of Stone, Bria's, Screeching Elusion, and Riana's at the request of our guild leader and MT. I am STR/WIS AAs becaue the guild likes to have the AOE blocker for some mobs.

I am raid-wide parsing around 550-660 and granted I do rezes, debuffs etc as I am usually the only dirge, but I would really like to parse over 1k and I am not sure how to do it...any help would be appreciated. I want to get better and am not sure what to do other than get better weapons (my weapons are not outstanding right now...Rapier of Darkness and Talonsreach and I also have a few other options like Dirk of Negativity).

I'm also the Mt dirge, and parse ~1100 for most zonewides. It really helps to get a pair of good weapons.

Soulfire/GDOH, with swap to Chel'dak's shard for COB. Having 3 pieces for COB (25 recast reduction).

Just curious on what encounters you need BD for anymore that your clearing, as the Sta line is so much better for dps.

get yourself adorned if not already. +10 dps to neck/bow. +piercing/slashing for your offhand to up hit %. +25 damage adorn on gloves.

I'd really drop Parry for Tomb's as well, and put it for named mobs, since your MT wants it.

Also please inform us what your raiding and how easy those targets are. You mostly use defensive buffs which should only be used against encounters you have huige troubles again.

Against normal trash you can probably easily drop percussion and screeching. This would free up 2 buffs for extra dps for you, the other scout and even more important more dps for MT = more agro. (if you need PoS for trash thats fine, but I am very sure you can drop Screeching on trash.)

We are doing the standard FTH, IS, EH stuff. I know it sounds noob, but I hadn't really thought about dropping the defensive buffs for easier encounters. I am still learning the dirge as my original two toons were Paladin/Fury.

Swapping weapons for CoB is even more pointless now than it already was. Don't do anything different when CoB is up, especially now with increased delays.

I agree with Kall. I have never done any kind of weapon swap for CoB. I just keep my routine cycle going. Which brings up the point of getting good weapons. I average around 1.5k in EH with trash topping around 2.2k as MT Dirge. You need to get a solid feel for how good your healers are and the MT's ability to take damage so that you can "Twist" buffs depending on the encounter to maximize group DPS.

So do we want a slower weapon in the primary hand and a faster weapon in our off-hand with the changes? That was what I had read, but I wanted to verify with the wise ones here, lol.

Was running Soulfire/RoD and parsing 1000-1200 on trash in EH in MT group and then I finally got a Bisected Sabre a few nights ago. As much as I hate the idea of using a slasher, my dps has increased significantly.

Ok, so here is a question (sorry to hijack the thread, but too lazy to start another): Should I invest in a +5 slashing adorn for Bisected? I think with Guardian c/s/p + rythme blade + boon + dirge 5-set (still need pants), I'm sitting at 412 slashing. Swindlers is a lost cause most of the time due to a hyperactive swash, and the swash with 500+ slashing gets Holy Redoubt due to he has less hp then I do. What I REALLY want is Dagger of Purity, but not going to happen anytime in the near future >_< (dkp issues)
