I got my Taleweavers mantle from the snake in protectors realm. Seems T1/T2 mobs have a chance to drop this stuff as a bonus to other loot from their table (we got another non-subclass piece in the chest).

I'd also be interested in knowing at what DPS mod the Strength ring begins to get affected by diminishing returns that other options become viable. Or is the bonus so big that it doesn't matter how far into the curve we are its going to give a bonus over something like +2 melee crit (which is what I currently wear instead atm)

Nevermind, did some number crunching and answered myself. Even above a base dps mod of 150 before the proc, you only need the ring up for around 60% of the time for it beat 2% crit.

Reward from KP quest, Killing in the Name... it's definitely not better than the top couple shoulder slots, but seems comperable to the lower end ones.

If you were wondering, the darkened gauntlets drop in value because they are only T7 adornable and T8 haste items are at 35. The problem is that gloves is a very weak slot and there's still not much better.

Why is the Buckler of the Howler so valued for Dirge?
- Last I looked we can't use our double attack shield AAs with it.
- It's defence is not all that high from what I remember.
- So presumably it is for ranged fights? But hasn't it been fixed so it does not proc off bows anymore?
- Even if it still did, that is a pretty rare use for it.

Because the dps mod procs off ranged still (they only made weapons not proc off ranged) and because the only reason you'd ever use a shield in the first place is to kite.

Coming near the quest line completion so I am looking for opinions on the Ring selection from the quest that grants the Talisman of Thuuga instead of selecting the Talisman itself.

Reasons:

- Already have Garnak's Torque (Spelling)
- Have Tynnonium band and Reet Eye Ring

Anyone think it would be better to select the ring, replace my Reet Eye, and then use the current Torque, or better to select the Talisman still, and keep the Reet Eye with hopes I will actually ever see another RIng of Tunarian MIght drop

The neck is the superior choice until they put something in the game that's better than it (Choker doesn't count). It doesn't matter if you have Ganak's Torque or not, the neck is better than the Torque so you should pick the neck.

You can 3-4 man TTR trash for the ring so if it ever does drop for you and you picked the ring, you're fucked!
