Everytime we did Palace with 3 groups, I had a lot less lag. /shrug

Technically we have 22-23 people, but those in 4th group are usually 2-3 healers and a few fighters who all go afk and autofollow on each other  It's just laggy sometimes and sometimes it's not :/

Had Impetus with the crit bonus for single target buffs

But that would help - if your CPU had less to distribute.
I have an awesome GFX card but even so, turning down my graphics settings will increase performance...
24 people animations isn't going to be much difference to 18 people animations, and I doubt the 18 getting a little less lag will be making up the 25% of the dps you lose because of it.

It's not graphics lag, it's lag when a person attacks, 7+ procs trigger which include reuse, base damage, and casting speed so the server makes a fuckton of calculations on the fly and it slows everything down.
This only happens really in Avatar gear guilds where there's like 10 million procs in the raid and having 3 groups instead of 4 definitely gets rid of a lot of the lag. |
