Default Bards for Musical Instruments!!

I was thinking today, "Im tired of being complacent" (or the correct spelling of that word, cause it don't look right)

I want musical instruments for bard classes w/animations! Equippable (secondary/ranged slot, or charm slot).

Created here - sign ur name in support of this cause. Also, share with us what you think each of the instruments should do for us/grp.

"Drum of the Dead" - FD target ally or self.

They should be, dare I say, Bard only charm slot items. Of course, then you'd have to design subclass restricting charm slots which would probably disrupt balance (see T7 and T8 set gear) because the moron designing subclass gear has no idea what each subclass wants.

The ranged slot is too good to give up for something other than a bow, so if instruments ever made it in it'd have to be charm.

ya im playin. taking it easy with relica and some longtime friends in relaxed but fun/friendly raid guild here on befallen (Defiant)

ya, what I meant with that, was that I want to see me play the lute when I hit "Use" on one of these instruments...I don't just wanna click the "Use" button and it cast w/o animation for the paticular instrument.

I was actually going to suggest something similar before I lost my ability to post on the official forums. My thought pattern was sort of like the following:

They would be ranged weapons that are bard useable only that do damage based on the instrument type. They would have bard stats on them, aka str and int. They would have various damage amounts, ranges and buffs also depending on their type. Also, auto attack would consume... I don't know... music pages? The damage bonus would be based on your int instead of str. Would also be semi rare with master crafted the lowest quality available, with there also being legendary and fabled versions.

Drums: High crushing damage, long delay, short bow range. Would add x% to our defensive buffs.

Strings: Medium slashing damage, medium delay and well, medium range. Adds to offensive buffs.

Wind: Low piercing damage, fast delay, short bow range. Adds to damage spells.

instruments and buffing do not have to be tied to eachother.

sorry, we are a buff/debuff class that does dps...we are scouts.
