Default Re: MT dirge vs. Scout group dirge...

I personally parse higher than the dirge that is in the MT group on our raids. I find that parsing high has a lot more to do with your abilities, equipment, experience rather than if you are in the MT group vs. the DPS group. If you want to parse better run a parse all the time and see what you can do to bring your parse up. When my parse sucked I ran it even when I soloed and now I have found a good balance of debuffing/dps and always parse well when I got my shit together.

I beg for the DPS group because I want to parse higher. When I am in the MT group I have my Stone/parry song up and sometimes hate song. If I am in dps group I have all my offensive up and that raises not only my dps but all the scouts. I still have this problem understanding the stigma of why a dirge would want to be in the MT group....Especially with a swashie and warden with the aoe blocks, our group never has to joust and with blade turn I personally don't joust if one isn't up...meaning I do even higher dps than the dirge in the MT group.

When the MT dirge is not at the raid that is when I get moved to the MT group and I never say anything and to be honest it is no big deal you go where you are needed...it is a raid and you are there to do what you have to do, but if given the choice I will do DPS scout group every time.

I'm sorry. The whole "DPS Dirge" monniker cracks my ass up.

We are a utility class and not a damn DPS class. Your parse number should be the least of your worries.

Yah, because it's really hard to do the rest of the stuff. Hit buffs, cast CoB every ~minute(soon to be 30s!), cast 5 debuffs. GO AFK and you've done everything but the DPS part of being a dirge. Grats on being a moron who's too fucking lazy to do anything.

DPS should be the least of our worries period. Your an idiot if you think otherwise. Go roll a DPS class. Gravitas,COB, debuff, rez, aoe block. DPS should be an afterthought.

If you have your eye on the parse your clearly not doing your job. Are you specc'd down the agility line?

I was wondering if it was better to have rather than the int line buffs for the scout group.

Not sure if the agi line makes up for the increased dps given to the scout group via the int line buff enhances.

CoB takes 2s. Gravitas takes 2s. Rez is only needed if healers aren't doing their jobs. AE Avoid is 98% useless in RoK. Debuffs take a whole 5s. What are you going to do with the rest of your time? Sit there and go, DURKA DURKA?

According to your previous 2 posts, we don't have time to DPS so obviously INT is superior.

No all i'm saying is I have been in raids with other dirges that were horrible because all they wanted to do was dps. We are a utility class imo. Other class's are far better equipped to throw out the damage.

DPS Dirge is just funny to me.

There's a balance, and considering the most utility is mostly passive, and DPS is active, that is the largest thing you should concentrate on after your utility is done.
