Default New Dirge Looking for some advice

Old EQ1 player starting on EQ2 and want reliable info as Ive been told this is the place to ask

As Im leveling up pretty fast can anyone direct me towards 2 questable / groupable weapons i should aim for from the 30 - 60 range,
Also im Wondering what the best Spec Routes are,
Both Racially and AA wise,

I looked up and down the Dirge threads and didnt see anything similiar so thought I would ask, Many thanks in advance

Weapons:

Depending on your server, lower tier fabled may be relatively cheap (sub 1p per item) check the broker daily, see what you find.

Heritage quests: Serrated bone dirk from a HQ in Enchanted lands would be decent in the 40s...once you hit 50+ you'll want to buy something or go with master crafted.

as for AAs, the universal spec is Sta 4 4 4 8, wis 4 4 6 8 1. (while still dual wielding, dont fall into the round shield trap)

After that, do what you will. Some folks pick up strength line for blade dance, but keep in mind that the line is mostly worthless with the exception of the last skill. It doesnt do anything for you except keep your group alive for 1 aoe every 10 minutes. a waste of points imo. but some guilds rely on it for certain mobs.

Agility line is pretty good, Bump is wonderful (attack that places you in stealth, to make better use of your 2 stealth CAs) and Poison adds a good deal to your parse.

Int line can be viable too, raises your groups DPS mod, and attack skills, making orange mobs easier to hit specifically.

personally, as a raiding non-mt group dirge, I'm Agi 4 1, Sta 4 4 4 8, wis 4 4 6 8 1, int 4 4 6 6. I'm pretty happy with it.

As for the dirge tree (EoF) You'll want the luck line for sure. increase CoB duration, luck of the dirge, etc. Confront fear is nice and essentially gives dirges a no-effects rez every 45 seconds. Degradations is great for debuffing, makes them go faster, last longer, and take less power. You can get all 3 of those things as long as you plan out your points accordingly.

Those are my thoughts, im sure others may agree/disagree and post their own but that should give you some options.

For HQ's there is also the Polished Granite Tomahawk(PGT) and Short Sword of Ykesha(SSoY)

but depending on how fast you intend to level, and weither or not your looking to build up some status I would imagine that mastercrafted would be the best bang for your buck and/or time. Though Feysteel tends to be pretty pricey(at least on AB), so like Rasix suggested... get to know whats on your broker... ts not hard to believe at all that there could be some fabled on there thats actually affordable

imbued mastercrafted weapons are always viable as you're leveling.
