RoK has made it much easier to obtain high delay (big spread) weapons. However, their potential is great only when they crit (when coupled with a decent DPS mod). Its night and day between a hit for 400 and a hit for 2000.
Auto attacks alone, 50% crits will provide more dps than 50% double attack.
That a 50% guarentee you weapon is gonna hit for max (critical) compared to a 50% chance your weapon is going to hit twice. However, with double attacks it can easilly (and it will) hit for the low amount on the spread.
The only time DA > Crit is when your rocking an obscenely fast (and small spread) weapon where a crit will never exceed the worth of 2 hits... even if both hits are on the low end of the spectrum.

Kall stated in another post that, especially for dirge, when you start missing too many hits (lets say orange con I suppose), crits are no more "more important" than DA because you can miss a hit (so miss a crit) when you can DA on a miss...
Another fact is that I'm sure I've seen many times that my CAs can DA too... (for that bow CA we dirge have, it should hit two times then root target, and I see it hitting a third time quite often and it's not a proc).
