I have been thinking about changing deities, I currently have Sol Ro. While I like it, I think I want to shop around and collect the other cloaks and test out the abilities and such.

My question is, if I renounce my faith and decide later that I want to come back, it's not going to be a problem will it? I won't lose anything and have to redo the quests, correct? I'll just simply go to the altar and be able to use the items and abilities again? Same goes for the faction. I won't lose my current faction if I renounce my faith, correct? I'll just not have access to gain or lose it while I'm not associated with that deity?

Sorry for the questions, I've just never done it before and don't want to screw anything up if/when I do.

you can use any deity cloak that you have regarless of your current belief or alignment.

you do not repeat quests when switching. you just go renounce your faith at the alter of the quest giver and then go talk to the guy for the one you want to follow.

to work faction up, you just have to sacrifice items.

That's what I thought I just wanted to double check. I don't understand what you mean by working up faction though. Will I lose all the faction I currently have if I leave, or do you mean in general to get more. Is it in my best interest to use up all the faction I have now before I renounce is what I am wondering. I will most likely return, that's why I want to know.

i just meant if you needed more faction later, the only way to get it is to sacrifice items... you might drop down to 0 when you renounce.

I just switched dieties and the old one doesnt even show on my faction's anymore. I figure its zero.

You do lose all faction status with your diety when you switch to another. If you go back to a previous diety you cannot do the quests again so you start with 0 status with the diety and have to sacrifice items to your alter to gain faction again.

I know this since I switched from Sol Ro to Bristlebane.

Thinking of switching again though I hate to give up the cow!

ok im a ranger turned dirge (till the fix rangers properly) but i have found out that i really enjoy playing the dirge its like i make my grp members uber and the mob a punk and i dont have to worry about dps as much ... ok to the point for raiding bert looks like the right choise but untill im 80 and ready to raid what deity whould be the most FUN... yes can u belive it i do play this game to have fun =)) not just be the best ...thats for my ranger.. for now at least iv looked at the all the deitys avaleble but would like to know if anyone has goten a deity they loved and wish they could keep and still be a hard core raider so to speak i know its a weird post but ehh what do u think?

I chose Bertoxx because of another (cant remember the difference between micacle and blessing,) but it doubles the amount of dmg done by disease. This lasts for 10 minutes and is a great way to up your parse and give you a morale boost. You can use this with the other spell that was mentioned before - the DOT that lasts forever (it seems).

Beware, don't die right after casting, cause that will spoil your mood.

Hey Cope I have been using Sol Ro from the get go and I am loving the huge heat nuke that deity give you. Its like 32k or something. Anywho Ill see you in game ;-)
