Default Gravitas guide

I have been getting alot of tells asking me about gravitas and what it does so I wrote this writeup on my guild site thanks to some of the info I have gotten of these boards. Lemme know if I should
add anything. Thanks

Dirge's new level 80 spell in RoK is called Gravitas. Ive gotten quite a few tells from healers as well as Dirges asking what it does so figured I would post it here.

It is a 30 second duration buff that increases all heal spells by a certain percentage. The beauty of this is that it works on all heals, which is good enough as it sounds, but most power refreshing spells are considered power heals so it works on them as well. So if you were to cast it on yourself your 2 lifetaps, Health Transfer, Manastone, Shards, Hearts, Heal and Power procs will all be buffed durring that 30 seconds. It also works on reactive heals and wards that the healer has already cast so there is no need for the healer to recast them or for the Dirge to cast pre-pull because you would actually be wasting some of that 30 seconds. It does work on rezzes as well rezing the target with the increased percentage of health.

Sounds awesome right, and it is but here's the rub. It also casts a blocker so that the same person cant have it cast on them for another 2 minutes or 1:30 after it ends. For this reason its best to set up a rotation. You can keep it up on 4 people constantly if needed although with downtime between fights, 2 or 3 is more likely. There are 2 basic ways to do this that I know of. The simple way is to set up a macro like this:

This will automatically try to cast it on healer 1 and if they are blocked out than it will move on to the next and so on. This is the easiest way to do it but there are some down sides. There is no way so send a tell to the healer to let them know you cast it on them this way, so unless they watch there buffs they wont know to pour it on. There will also be spam every time you try to cast it if that bothers you. You also cant select who you want to cast it on to adjust for the situation. Say you have a chanter in the healer 3 slot and everyone's power is low but health is under control. It will try to cast it on healer 1 and 2 first even though you want it on the chanter. Another method is to set up a bunch of the following macros:

Just replace Bryina in all 3 places with your different healer names. They allow for more customization but take up more hot bar room and you need to keep track of the block outs your self. They also have the benefit of letting the healer know whats cast on them. I currently have about 10 of them saved in my macro's with different people that I regularly group with and replace the 4 slots on my hotbar as needed.

During raids the dirges should talk before hand to determine who is responsible for hitting whoever so they are not blocking each other out. I would recommend that the MT dirge take care of the MT healers. The other dirge can take the rest of the healers as it can be cast on anyone in raid. If we have 3 like we did last night the 3rd can be responsible for the chanters/necros/mt and other miscellaneous people.

I only have Adept 1 at the moment and I think its a 24% increase with M1 being 32% iirc (definitely my next Adept 3 if once I get another loam), so it is an awesome spell if used correctly. Don't forget to use it on yourself when soloing as well. I usually pop it once my health has gone down a bit to help with procs and lifetaps.

Profit quick raid buttons are great - and you can incorporate a tell into them. Just make sure you ignore the file on the profit auto updater after you customize your buttons.

Something I didnt realize... thanks!

Been casting it on the pulls 10 count... I'll be getting that ten seconds more on our defiler now!

I'll play around with it to find out myself... but do you know off hand if it then subtracts the additional ward ammound when the buff dies?

I would assume so. Should be pretty easy to test on yourself with Sacrifice.

I have the raid hotbutton set up but would rather use the bigger hotbars. Ive never actually used the one button method, I think ill give it a shot on raid tonight and see if the healers dont mind not knowing when it hits.

is it really so?
as when i was testing it with our warder, it seemed that it wont effect already casted wards. But I might be wrong and our warder retarted
