This was great! I'll have to get this put into my ACT. Thanks for writing this up.

I think the K.I.S.S. method applies here. The examples of UI code given here and in other threads just seems entirely too complicated and unnecessary, IMO. Here's why:

I think for most raids, at least at this point in the game when most guilds have progressed to the point where raiding is more repetition than challenge, there's no need to keep Gravitas up the second it can be cast on a healer. Or more importantly, to spam healers with /tells that it's up.

There are some encounters like Avatars that it will be another story, although I don't see how notifying a healer they have Gravitas will affect how they cast, as they should be healing when needed regardless. It's not like announcing CoB, so that DPS can time their buffs and attacks to utilize it the most (e.g. Swashbuckler's "Inspired Daring"). A healer is going to ward or heal depending on the situation regardless. (Right..?)

There are a few heals where it makes a difference but I dont send tells either just because I'm lazy. And no one times anything with CoB, the only purpose for announcing it it to coordinate with other dirges.

Look at the dates when this info was originally posted. Sure, most of us are well past using this (although the immunity timer for Gravitas is handy so you know if it's available to hit someone with.) However, at the time it was a very useful post.

for everyone who hasnt the act or dont want to use it for gravits:

i found a gravitas/jcap immunity plugin that works with every UI.

this plugin just add a new window to your game where you can see who still has gravitas imunity. i used it for 2 weeks now and i love it.

here is the link

EQ2Interface : Buff Immunity Timers/Notification(JCap/Gravitas) : Buff Immunity Timers/Notification(JCap/Gravitas)

Gravitas doesnt only affect heals... But also power regen.

A defiler might want to know when he is under Gravitas because it's the perfect moment to Cannibalize, for example.
And any other heal could wait some time before using a Tinkerer manastone...

Maybe it seems useless to you but well...In my guild I know it's helpful, so I still send a /tell with the spell.

@Mero and others interested... You might want to add this to _quick raid buttons :

<Data Name="Button5" Macro="useabilityonplayer Parent.Target Confront Fear
tell Parent.Target Maladie de rez finie!" Tooltip="Confront Fear"/>

(the /tell means "rez sickness is over!" )
