Not when you can have it up radewide constantly. With 2 Set geared / mythical dirges or 3 mythical dirges with some sort of reuse reduction it should be up all the time as long as you communicate so why not have one of you get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

I'm not in that situation though so I usualy move it back a little in the rotation unless I know its going to be a real short fight.

If you time it right, COB should be done casting by the time the mob is in melee range of the raid. Even if it's not, 2 dirges with mythicals, and at least 1 dirge with the VP 2 set, COB is on almost nonstop. With the 2 set, recast time of COB is 30 seconds. COB at AD3 lasts for 18.2 seconds. You're talking 11.8 seconds of no COB with only one dirge, and no waiting if you have two on raids.

Either way, no, you wont be losing precious seconds

CoB duration ist 17s with 5 AA spent, no matter if you have it apprentice II or master I.
The only way to get it to 18.2s is with the bracers from the boss in old Sebilis

And if you're the only dirge, you're probably better off getting cob before the mob comes, so the raid can benefit from it while youre debuffing, instead of after you debuff.

correct, my bad. I forgot about those. I have them and totally forgot its the bracers

Even so, whether you have 17 seconds or 18.2, with two dirges in a raid that have their mythicals, the amount of time COB is not up is miniscule to the amount of time it is. It's definitely still worth casting on inc

K, well, we don't have any dirges with mythicals or VP sets. So the CoB is group wide...I don't think there is any raid wide CoB going. So typically in the raid the MT pulls, he gets a few seconds to build hate then the MA calls everyone else in. I'm not a MT dirge so I'm thinking at this point I'm probably better off moving it down the rotation a bit.

Look in Chain 1 and Chain 2. I originally made this post with T7 names.

if you have a dirge and a troub in a dps group the bracer effect will stack, so thats almost 20 sec of raidwide potm and cob

i think green debuffs were alround 1:30 or so, dont remember other stuff tho

If you want to split hairs and maybe add a tiny bit more dps to your casting order you can make a small change.

CoB on countdown
Toggle ranged attack
Banshee on inc
(Jaels if target > 10 meters after Banshee lands)
Toggle melee attack
>>HO starter/Emo Dirge/Discante/Claras<<
Rhythm blade
Etc...

What this does is make the debuffs your already casting into a HO that will either buff you or cause dmg. Your HO will be up again in time to be cast for your first chain as well, so it doesn't fuck with your original cast order in any other way. Just adds an extra HO to the mix.
