Little help please:

I have set up my hotbars and casting order as suggested in this forum but i cant for the life of me seem to break 2500 dps with any regularity. I understand it may be my gear but i have seen similar geared Dirges get close to 3k if not above.

With the casting order i am not 100% sure if i need to space out the timing during CA's to allow for more Auto Attacks to happen.

Any suggestions would be very helpful and appreciated.

Things that I think could help:

~ Need more crit gear... that'll come in time

~ I tried the casting order, and it didn't work for me. Just make sure you get your dots off asap - especially Scream of Blood

~ I really hated using my fabled epic because of the delay. I used two items that hit at the same time to control my timing.

~ Make sure you know if the mob is too far away or not. Most of our dmg comes from auto-attacks, not CAs. ACT can help with this or there is something in game that you can turn on (don't know the details of this because I use ACT).

There are a ton of lowbie raid/heroic/solo gear upgrades for you to look for. I finally started getting some SoH loot, but for a while everything I was wearing was T1 or below and I could crank it up to 3500 or so every once in a while. I would keep your weapons as is, I dint notice a huge in dps from having mismatched delays. (Until you can get marrow's song/myth) Most of your other gear is lacking though. Check the 2 loot threads for whats available. There is plenty of stuff in your range, even on the high end lists. The first thing I would do is grab a mc strength ring.

Cool thanks guys for the tips guys. My gear so far isnt to bad, most of it is on the Loot gear list. I know i need some replacements.

Still are u guys using the Casting Order to achieve the high parse numbers or making it up as you go? Not sure why im so low but i do follow the exact order and its still crappy.

I will pick up some of the missing gear spots and grab a STR ring and see if it improves at all.

Just discouraging to see low numbers when you follow a proven method. Probably my gear or missing a few Auto Attacks but i am careful to watch when i swing and time attacks. :-)

Moving into VP and i need more dps lol. Suxdirge ftl.

Yikes! No. You auto-attack before the swing. You definately CANNOT time from the graphics! I use ACT for that too.

Plus, even when you are lagging, you're still hitting even if your character is frozen.

Ahh..so just look for the swing movement then cast Ca's assuming you have already hit the mob with AutoAttack?

Um. No. I don't assume when I play. I know when my hits are hitting. Test out ACT if you can.

I think the whole auto attack thing is where I miss out on my dps, coming from a caster class not caring much about it (except on trash/named fights where I can do it!!!) I never really got used to watching for the swing...Kall beat some more words of wisdom into me! That and still missing a few pieces of gear.
