Default Casting Order Help

Been getting a couple of PMs these past couple of months basically asking the same question - How do I improve my casting order?

So here is a good model to use:

CoB on countdown
Toggle ranged attack
Banshee on inc
(Jaels if target > 10 meters after Banshee lands)
Toggle melee attack
Claras/Daros/Discante
Rhythm blade
Bump to SoD
Shrieking Stab
Shroud to Grim Strike
Chain 1
Ludas
Chain 2
Lanets (If duration will be > 7s)
Thermal Shocker

Repeat cycles as stuff refreshes

Chain 1 = HO starter -> Verlien's -> Infected Blade
Chain 2 = HO starter -> Tarven's -> Grievence

Note: If you have the Twelve-Stone Earstone, Grim Strike becomes your highest priority attack.

This isn't mathematically tested to be the best order and I use slightly different variants depending on Precision and other things, but it's a solid foundation and should get your numbers up a bit if your order looks nothing like this.

CoB on incoming is for super high dps raids. if your in a ca. 60K raid like me save CoB for after grim strike.

Also only difference I have is that I try to do chain 2 directly after cob. Dunno how much it matters, but this way I can get chain 2 two times during CoB.

Can I ask why you cycle though the first HO so late? It has verlien's, our DIS debuff. I'm not sure about which group you normally roll in but I get put into the scout DPS group. I normally get thieves guild put on me pushing the debuff above 3k.

Is there any specific reason you cast it basically last? Wouldn't it help everything do a lot more damage? Is it up through the entire second cycle of skills? Is someone else debuffing DIS on the pull?

It's not really making sense to me.

The average trash fight for us is usually around 20-30s, so it's not about building up for more damage, it's about doing as much damage as you can in a very short amount of time. If you notice, the front part of the cycle is primarily all melee damage and Verilien's should be in by the time Banshee expires, so you're really not losing any damage.

The brigand hopefully should be using Rake and Dispatch as 2 of his first few CAs so the resist debuffs are in. Since resists debuffs work on a diminishing returns curve, once they get debuffed by like 7k or so adding more debuffs generally doesn't do very much, so Verlien's isn't really that important.

It's probably a bit selfish, but I bet half the scouts don't even use their snare at all.

Ahh after a closer look at the cycle I realized that our two main DIS attack are indeed after the verlien's. Also, I didn't know that you could cast verlien's after banshee and that the termination effect would take into account the debuff at that time. I thought it was fixed damage from when banshee was originally casted. Thanks for the info gonna try this out.

It does effect it.

You can put up Verliens after Banshee and the DoT amount and scream at the end will go up in damage. Try it on a solo trash mob. Cast Banshee, then Verliens. Watch the DoT amount before, then after. You'll see it go up. Ther's no real way of testing the final one because it only hits once.

Amazing..went from 1.5k average to 2.4k spiking for 2.9. Gave me arm for two fights hit 3.4k in both. This casting order is very nicely done. Thanks so much.

This is great, thanka Kall!

One question - if a Master strike is applicable in a fight - where in the order would you recommend to use it?
