Default Casting Order Help

Been getting a couple of PMs these past couple of months basically asking the same question - How do I improve my casting order?

So here is a good model to use:

CoB on countdown
Toggle ranged attack
Banshee on inc
(Deprivating Shot if target > 10 meters after Banshee lands)
Evasive Maneuvers
Toggle melee attack
Claras/Daros/Discante
Rhythm blade
Bump to SoB
Shriek Blade
Shroud to Grim Strike
Chain 1
Penetrating Shriek
Howl of the Dead
Chain 2
Lanets (If duration will be > 7s)
Thermal Shocker

Repeat cycles as stuff refreshes

Chain 1 = HO starter -> Keen's -> Infected Blade
Chain 2 = HO starter -> Rhyming Curse -> Siphon Blade

Note: If you have the Twelve-Tone Earstone, Grim Strike becomes your highest priority attack.

This isn't mathematically tested to be the best order and I use slightly different variants depending on Precision and other things, but it's a solid foundation and should get your numbers up a bit if your order looks nothing like this.

Another decent casting order that's slightly updated from Dibbis:

--TO START--
COB (if its my turn in rotation) on inc
Banshee (while the mob is running to us, or we are running to it)
Hit ranged auto attack key (do this while banshee is being cast)
Evasive Menouvers (After ranged auto attack hits, then i run in if its safe, stay out if you have to, but only if you have to joust in at this point)

--IF YOU HAVE TO STAY JOUSTED-- if no jousting is required at the start then skip this section pls.
Jaels Dreadful Depravation (only if you have to stay jousted for ae's to hit otherwise this moves down til you joust)
DEBUFFS (put em up all fast cast and proc potm anyway but need them up)
Ludas Nefarious Wail
Howl of Death
Lanets Scream
Banshee (if its back up and ticks are done)
(i never use Jarols unless theres 3+ mobs, otherwise its a waste. also this is pretty much the order of importance when jousted, so use this as a refrence when every you joust Banshee>Jaels>Debuffs inc snare>Ludas>Howl>Lanets ... make sure you use the spells in a dps efecient order like what i mentioned mainly keep banshee up always, and hit jaels and Luda's when they come back up when jousted).

--WHEN YOU JOUST INTO MELEE RANGE--
TIME AUTO ATTACKS (this is KEY seriously. dont ever hit longer casting spells when an auto attack is due to hit, you'll hurt your dps, let it hit then cast.)
Banshee (Make sure if banshee is up, get it on the mob while running in if you havent yet)
Debuffs (if not already used)
Evasive maneuvers if it wasnt used already for some reason
Rhythym blade (if your spec'd it)
Bump > Scream of Death
Daros dull blade
Darksong blade
Shroud
> Misfortunes kiss (if you have Twelve tone on swap this with Scream because it is priority. ONLY DO THIS IS YOU ARE USING TWELVE TONE THO!)
Ludas nefarious wail
Howl of death
HO MACRO
-- Lucky break > Tarvens crippling crecendo > Thuri's doleful thrust (make sure you use this macro, the buffs help alot, and the extra hits arnt bad )

and from there just go by what will net you the most dps in the current situation.

IF YOU HAVE PROFIT UI, RAZC UI, and maybe others. you can go under WINDOW SETTINGS on each hotbar, and under the FRAME AND TITLE drop down menu, select Frame and Titilebar. this will show a countdown on the hotkey giving you an exact knowledge of when your abilities are back up. helps alot imo when it comes to changing your cast order up on the fly.

CoB on incoming is for super high dps raids. if your in a ca. 60K raid like me save CoB for after grim strike.

Also only difference I have is that I try to do chain 2 directly after cob. Dunno how much it matters, but this way I can get chain 2 two times during CoB.

Can I ask why you cycle though the first HO so late? It has verlien's, our DIS debuff. I'm not sure about which group you normally roll in but I get put into the scout DPS group. I normally get thieves guild put on me pushing the debuff above 3k.

Is there any specific reason you cast it basically last? Wouldn't it help everything do a lot more damage? Is it up through the entire second cycle of skills? Is someone else debuffing DIS on the pull?

It's not really making sense to me.

The average trash fight for us is usually around 20-30s, so it's not about building up for more damage, it's about doing as much damage as you can in a very short amount of time. If you notice, the front part of the cycle is primarily all melee damage and Verilien's should be in by the time Banshee expires, so you're really not losing any damage.

The brigand hopefully should be using Rake and Dispatch as 2 of his first few CAs so the resist debuffs are in. Since resists debuffs work on a diminishing returns curve, once they get debuffed by like 7k or so adding more debuffs generally doesn't do very much, so Verlien's isn't really that important.

It's probably a bit selfish, but I bet half the scouts don't even use their snare at all.

Ahh after a closer look at the cycle I realized that our two main DIS attack are indeed after the verlien's. Also, I didn't know that you could cast verlien's after banshee and that the termination effect would take into account the debuff at that time. I thought it was fixed damage from when banshee was originally casted. Thanks for the info gonna try this out.

It does effect it.

You can put up Verliens after Banshee and the DoT amount and scream at the end will go up in damage. Try it on a solo trash mob. Cast Banshee, then Verliens. Watch the DoT amount before, then after. You'll see it go up. Ther's no real way of testing the final one because it only hits once.

Amazing..went from 1.5k average to 2.4k spiking for 2.9. Gave me arm for two fights hit 3.4k in both. This casting order is very nicely done. Thanks so much.

This is great, thanka Kall!

One question - if a Master strike is applicable in a fight - where in the order would you recommend to use it?
