Buying Masters on a Budget - your suggestions
Hi Everyone,
There are only a few dirge masters on the broker atm and I've got a small amount of plat that I'd like to use to buy some masters.
Background:
Rianna's M1, Shriek Blade M2, PoS M1
I'm in a guild that raids T2 content 3 nights a week and I'm in the dps group.
Which masters would you buy first?
My list would start with power ballad and blade chimes. From there I'm undecided in terms of debuffs, offensive buffs and personal dps.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you!
Mayia

Re: Buying Masters on a Budget - your suggestions
Presuming all Masters available, top few choices for me:
Scream of Blood (giant upgrade, even at A3)
Gravitas (Only one of it's kind)
Claras Cacophony (Mit debuff, for obvious reasons)
Grim Strike (Big hit, and needed for the SoH earring)
Dead Calm (Who doesnt love this?)
If you don't have access to mythicals and VP set, you might be better off using old cob with the eof 3 set bonus still for dps group. You'd lose some stats, but the benefit to a scout heavy group is probably worth it.
I wouldn't stress the power song at all.

Agree with all of this.
Just want to stress Borias' point on not spending a lot of plat on the power song. Get your healer or healers to wear the Dizok collection belt and power will never be an issue for your group. I barely run my power regen at all anymore.

Out of curiosity, how much is a small amount of plat? I'm lucky to even see a dirge master on the broker on Lucan D'lere. If I DO see one it's easily 60-100p depending on what master it is. The masters I do have were given to me by my guild or I would have none at all.

my dirge has Scream of Blood, dropped in Karnor's Castle. Penetrating shriek also dropped in there.

Re: Buying Masters on a Budget - your suggestions
Not to derail the thread, but how many dirge masters do you guys/gals see on your servers? Right now on Oasis, there are like 4, and that is probably the most I have seen since the expansion came out. I mean its rather silly. I bought rianna's master for 50p from a friend guild luckily, but the four dirge masters currently on the broker are insane priced, starting at 100p and going up to like 600p. And one of the masters is that stupid fear..../sigh

Re: Buying Masters on a Budget - your suggestions
I don't buy masters. On my server, our fear starts at about 75pp. The three other spells for sale start at 100pp. I won't even pay the 100pp for Gravitas. I have quite a few masters from grouping and a couple of friends that have given a couple to me.
Do you raid or just group? That would have an impact on which ones I would get first. If you ever see CoB on the broker, I'd expect it to be up for a ridiculous amount of plat. Probably about 500pp or more on my server.

Re: Buying Masters on a Budget - your suggestions
Yeah Dirge Masters in general are absurd. This is what I've paid for mine:
Shriek Blade - 40p
Keen Tactics - 15p
Claras - 70p
Power Ballad - 30p
Scream of Blood - 100p
Lanet's - 70p
Grim Strike - 40p
Piercing Shriek - 100p
Dead Calm - 40p
Emotional Dirge - 25p
Death's Edge - 50p
Speech - 40p
Riana's, Banshee, Howl of the Dead, Athletic Strain from raids.
Gravitas, Blades from guildmates.
I'd probably drop 50-100p on the remaining ones I need but I've never seen them on the broker
Edit - Oh forgot Vile Blade - 40p. Also, most of these also took serious negotiations, too.
