Suggestions?
Hello all
I am now a terrifying level 28, world, look out! I played a Druid on 1 and she suit my playstyle perfectly. I absolutely did not want a druidtype this time around. I fiddled around with most of the different classes, and then rolled a Dirge. The rest, as they say, is history.
I'm amazed at how much I love this class! My only real fear is grouping. Lemme tell ya why... I level so dang quickly! I get to log on so little that I'm pretty much always at 100% vitality and the levels absolutely fly. I've read all of these (okay, ya caught me - a few of these) threads, but all of the suggestions are geared toward the levels that I can barely even see in the distance. CoB - it sounds awesome, but I don't even know what it is yet! lol
So, what kind of suggestions do you have for a baby? AA's are a mystery, so I'm following the general Dirge suggestion of Agility line first. Casting order... uhm - well, I shroud, backstab (love that song!), then go through H/O's using the red/black Dissonance song (?), and ... uhm, I can tell you what the others look like, but I dont know the names of the songs offhand. Usually, shroud, backstab, 2 H/O's = mob dead. I twinked this toon from my ex-hubby's account. LOL, he kinda paid me off I think. She's got mostly Master 1's, though a few are "only" Adept III yet I can still get my arse handed to me by a white or 2 blues. I read the boards and bought a vampiric handle and ... something else, LOL. Anyway, suggestions?
I'm not real sure how I do in groups. I've only been in 2 so far. The last one was several hours long, we lost one person, then the rest of us kept going. Defiler, Dirge, wizzie and.. fury? I dont remember. Anyway, the second I said I had to leave, they asked me for an evac and the group broke up. Made me feel kinda good. I downloaded, and use, ACT, but it doesn't look the same way as some of the parses I see here. Anyway, I'm just asking for kind suggestions...
Txheart

Re: Suggestions?
I suggest you keep going. I rarely ever group at that low of a level, I mostly just find a guildie to duo/trio quests with. This not only gets you mad exp, but also mad AA. The two of you can finish the quests faster than just by yourself.
If I were you, I'd take a look at the quest timeline.

Re: Suggestions?
That's the first time I've seen the timeline, and it looks very well laid out. I will use it, thanks!
I also re-read my first post, and wanted to clarify why I'm scared of groups. It's not because I level so fast, it's that I dont really have time to get to know my songs before I get a new one. I'm always worrying if I'm doing something I shouldn't, or if I'm not doing something that I should. Make sense?

Re: Suggestions?
There's only about 30 spells, the rest are just upgraded types of the same so it's not really that bad. Reading the threads and looking at older ones will help you.

Re: Suggestions?
this is the casting order i used to use at a low lvl (still do but maybe a slight difference). Start fight off with bow CA, use your shriek spell while the mob is rooted, when it gets to you cheap shot, flanking attack, bump (if you have it) or shroud to stealth attack...mob should be dead by then. if not just hit it with another CA or two. There could be a better way but thats what i always did and it worked fine for me.

That works well, and keeps your Ranged skill up.
I switch between that and: Stealth back stab, stun, start the HO, flank, finish HO and use Scream or whatever it is to keep that skill up. Or you can slow run back and use your Ranged CA to more than likely finish the fight.

Re: Suggestions?
my advice to anyone leveling up is to....just enjoy it and not worry to much about strategies.
Every 3/4 levels until lvl 50 the game will change a bit if your looking at the best strategy.
So best thing is to just level up, adjust to the new spells you get (upgrade the once you feel you use a lot).
Once you reach max level odds are your solo/group strategies are near by whetever anyone can suggest to you.
